My name is Jim McEwen of Bowmanville, Ontario,  east of Toronto.

 

My background is Professional Civil Engineering as a Consultant. I am officially retired as of 2020.

In March, 2010 at the age of 55 I experienced a disabling stroke and while in excellent health. Sometimes medical accidents occur, causing strokes!

After being discharged home from rehab hospital I quickly learned that I didn’t qualify for more publicly funded rehabilitation and all because of my age of 55. I continue to advocate for fair and publicly funded Post-stroke treatment/rehab for all regions of Canada.
