Letter to Honourable Mark Carney, Prime Minister re: CBD Clawback -

Honourable Mark Carney, Prime Minister:

While attending a March of Dimes Zoom meeting today I learned that many disabled Albertans are finally receiving their monthly $200.00 under the above noted Program.

Sadly, Alberta is clawing back their social assistance program by $200.00/month as a result of the new CDB!

It was my understanding that the Feds met with all Provinces and Territories to make sure there was no clawbacks in existing social programs as a result of the new CDB.

Please forward this message to the appropriate federal Minister and ask that they provide me with an explanation on this subject.

While I live in Ontario and do not need the CDB, I’m writing on behalf of disabled Albertans who are losing significant income over this issue.

To be clear I am not simply submitting the above for information and request that the appropriate federal Minister respond to me by email and before Dec. 24, 2025.

Please acknowledge receipt and that this message has been forwarded to the appropriate federal Minister for a response to me!
